For the remains that have been cremated, a special place for it is called a columbarium. The only difference is the wall spaces called niches are smaller in size a compared to a mausoleum with crypts in it.

The average rate of a mausoleum, the cheapest one, starts in the price range between $3000 and $10000 dollars for a single or a double crypt one. Usually community mausoleums, in churches and cemeteries have hundreds of crypts individually purchased by its user, before they die or by the family of the dead. Even in a community setting an upscale mausoleum can still be purchased with an increase in price of $15,000 to $30,000 dollars.

Outdoor crypts are less expensive than the indoor ones. Usually a wall of crypts are available in cemeteries and are being sold singly with a price range of $3550 to $5160 dollars. Since the crypts are made into a wall like structure, the higher the location for the crypt in a mausoleum the cheaper the price, while the lower the chosen crypt the higher the price, especially those crypts located at around the eye level of a person. In Minneapolis state, their garden crypts are prices as follows: double crypts range from $6100 to $9100 dollars. Indoor crypts are from $5000 to $9500 dollars, while indoor doubles are from $9500 to $18000. The quads are more expensive as they range from $20000 to $25000 dollars.

For families who consider building their mausoleum as a private, the cost can start from $25000 and $50000 dollars for the basic one. This kind of mausoleum is smaller and could be more costly, mostly because of the customization that is requested by the family. The price could increase depending on the style, location, quality, stone and other materials used to build it.

The priciest mausoleums are the walk-in ones. They range from about $200,000 to $500,000 dollars even up to a million or more. The price for it also depends on the cemetery site cost, style, installations, and some of the required foundation.

The casket has a fee of around $1000 to $7000 dollars or more depending on the design. The entombment fee which is a cost of around $500 – $2000 dollars.  Some funeral homes would provide a funeral package that can cost from $6000 to $15000 dollars, this service already includes, embalming, caskets, and procession services.
